Sci. STKE, 30 August 2005 TEACHING RESOURCESMesodermal Differentiation: Signal Integration During DevelopmentDepartment of Pharmacology and Biological Chemistry, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, NY 10029, USA. Abstract: This Teaching Resource provides a summary and slides derived from a lecture on the signaling cascades that mediate early embryogenesis and is part of the course "Cell Signaling Systems: A Course for Graduate Students." The lecture focuses on the mechanisms underlying germ layer formation, patterning, and suppression in the vertebrate embryo, with particular emphasis on the regulation of mesodermal development in the model organism Xenopus laevis. *Contact information.
