REVIEW Cell: Reviews on Signaling

Abstract:

The entire issue of Cell is focused on themes in cell signaling. Surely, there is something for everyone. Reviews cover all signaling locations from receptor tyrosine kinases (at the plasma membrane) to specific protein kinases [TOR (target of rapamycin), phosphoinositide-dependent kinase-1 (PDK-1), and JNK (Jun NH2-terminal kinase)] and small GTPases (Ras and Rho), to histone modification (in the nucleus). Other reviews cover the coordination of multiple signals, apoptosis, control of immune system activation, aberrant signaling in cancer (Wnt and TGF-ß), and signaling in plants.
