Abstract: The Connections Maps database and the graphical Web interface at Science's STKE for accessing the data represent an emerging Web-based tool through which researchers in cell signaling can share their knowledge with the scientific community. This tool provides a mechanism by which researchers, students, and clinicians can transform information about interactions between biomolecules into knowledge about a cellular process. In 2005, new Pathways were added to the Connections Maps database and several of the existing Pathways were updated. *Corresponding author. E-mail: ngough{at}aaas.org
