Cell signalling in memory-cell/plasma cell developement

Can anyone working in the area of B-cell signalling give me the different modes of recognition by the B-cells during activation, which finally result in two sets of cell population? What exactly determines the differentiation of the two in different cell population and reversal back of the memory cells to plasma cells in secondary immune response?
