Inhibiting metastasis by blocking CD36

Pascual et al. show that cancer cells with a high abundance of the fatty acid receptor CD36 inititate metastasis, which can be inhibited by blockade of the receptor.

Extending lifespan in worms

Heintz et al. show that splicing factor 1 is required for the extension of life span in Caenorhabditis elegans by dietary restriction and the modulation of TORC1 signaling components.
