COVER This week's issue features a Research Article that reports the nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) structure of the chemokine SDF-1 bound to the extracellular domain of its receptor CXCR4, thus demonstrating the basis for the recognition of receptor sulfotyrosine residues by the chemokine. The image shows two subunits of a dimer of SDF-1 (one white, the other tan) bound to sulfotyrosine residues from two CXCR4-derived peptides (one blue, the other orange). [Image: Christopher T.
