COVER This week's issue features a Perspective that proposes that protein interaction networks may include evolutionary "noise," which may explain why these networks appear so large and may include nonfunctional interactions. The many reflections of the network in surrounding mirrors symbolize the puzzlement of the scientific community in the face of the constantly growing body of information on protein-protein interactions.
