ONLINE COVER This week's issue features a Research Article describing how adenosine triphosphate (ATP) signaling through purinergic receptors reduces the immunosuppressive effects of regulatory T cells (Tregs). In addition, ATP induced the conversion of Tregs to proinflammatory cells. The image shows a section of mouse colon that exhibits infiltrating inflammatory cells because some of the Tregs in the tissue have been rendered ineffective by ATP.
