- stands for Drosophila Apaf-1 related killer, part of a complex that activates the initiator caspase DRONC, which leads to apoptosis
- DARPP-32:
- stands for dopamine- and an adenosine 3′,5′-monophosphate (cAMP)-regulated phospho-protein of 32 kilodaltons; cytosolic protein that has been implicated in the regulation of kinase-phosphatase signaling cascades that are modulated by dopamine, glutamate and serotonin
- DCP-1:
- stands for Drosophila caspase 1, an effector caspase involved in apoptosis, is similar in sequence to mammalian caspase-3
