Closing the door to cancer cells

Karagiannis et al. report that chemotherapy promotes metastatic dissemination of cancer cells, despite decreasing the size of the tumor itself. Inhibiting the angiopoietin receptor TIE2 might prevent chemotherapy-induced metastasis.
