Online Cover This week features a Research Article that shows that the phosphorylation state of the T cell adaptor protein CrkII determines its localization within the immunological synapse, the interface between a T cell and an antigen-presenting cell (APC). Dephosphorylation of CrkII leads to its movement to the peripheral region of the synapse, strengthening adhesion between the T cell and the APC and enhancing T cell activation.
