Online Cover This week features a Research Article that shows that the scramblase TMEM16F changes the distribution of phosphatidylserines in the plasma membrane of T cells. The resulting change in the electrostatic potential of the membrane enables components of the T cell receptor (TCR) complex to disengage from the membrane to amplify T cell activation. The image depicts TCRs (dark blue) and glycolipids (orange) in the plasma membrane of a T cell. [Image: Juan Gaertner/Science Source]
