Abstract
Behavior and learning require that neurons coordinate communication between regions within the brain and between the brain and peripheral tissues to respond and adapt to the environment. Abnormalities in neuronal function can lead to cognitive, motor, or behavioral disorders during development or aging. Content published in Science Signaling explores the molecular mechanisms that regulate neuronal development and function and that are altered in neurological dysfunction and neurodegenerative disease.
