Online Cover This week features a Research Article that describes how two related novel PKC isoforms cooperate to limit cardiac hypertrophy during heart development and in response to hemodynamic stress. The panel of four-chamber heart sections shows that pressure overload induces greater cardiac hypertrophy in adult mice lacking these two PKC isoforms (bottom row) than in control mice (top row).
